I wrote this last Sept and have just found out it is still draft.

 

Things have been quiet since I went back to work - I have been organising some girls from school (Schols at Glebe) to have lunch on 13 September and over the past 6-8 weeks have communicated by phone and email with about 75 of the girls I went to school with at Schols. It is really nice to catch up with people - we came out of that school with a really good sense of community and the phone conversations were just as if we had seen each other yesterday.

 

I got the most joy out of finding my friend Anna who went thru 6 years of boarding school with me - somehow we lost touch after 6 years of living together and it took 35 years to find her. She live in PNG and has 10 grandchildren!!! We have exchanged letters and I am awaiting a further one...

 

So it's been 35 years since I have seen of few of the people who are coming on Saturday - 37 in a couple of cases - everyone is so looking forward to it.

 

I am flying to Newcastle to see Deb Hong and then onto Sydney - staying at Ann's Saturday nite and then onto mums for 24 hours on Sunday. Having tea at Sue and Alan's Sunday nite. Flying back Monday - I need more hours in the days, days in the weeks and weeks in the year.

 

John's uncle Reg died this week and John is flying to Sydney on Friday for the funeral and back Sunday - we may cross paths but he has the St Mary's High Reunion on Saturday which he was not intending to go to - but as he is in Sydney he may as well.

 

For my birthday last weekend John organised a tour of the art gallery, we visited the museum and then onto My Fair Lady at QPAC - it was lovely we had such a nice day - on Sunday Evan and Sarah came for lunch and we had a lazy afternoon - I even had a nana nap as the outing on Saturday went for 12 hours solid.
